“Leonforte IGP Sicilian Peach” and Almond Colomba
Fiasconaro’s newest addition to their 2025 Easter collection. This dove shaped naturally leavened dough is studded with delicate bits of semi candied peaches from the protected region of Leonforte in Sicily. The microclimate in the central region of Sicily’s Enna province along with techniques of the peach farmers there makes for a beautifully fragrant firm and orange and red hued flesh peach with a succulent sweetness. Also folded into this fragrant sweet sourdough is a praline paste made with Sicilian almonds; the top is then adorned with toasted slivered almonds. Beautifully hand-wrapped in a pastel peach and coral paper with Fiasconaro’s signature ribbon.
