Pandorato French Toast
 
 

Ingredients
3/4 cup milk
1/4 cup cream
3 eggs
1 tablespoon of vanilla extract
2 teaspoons of granulated sugar
1/2 teaspoon of Ceylon cinnamon
Zest of mandarin or other citrus
Freshly grated nutmeg to taste
Pandorato cut into thick slices
Butter or ghee for cooking

Directions
Whisk all the ingredients in a shallow bowl.

Then heat a cast iron skillet over medium-low heat.

Dip Pandorato slice in the milk mixture; turn to ensure both sides have had a good soak.

Once the cast iron skillet is hot add a bit of butter or ghee to the skillet and cook the soaked Pandorato until golden on both sides. Make sure you wipe the skillet clean and add fresh butter or ghee in between cooking.

Serve with freshly whipped cream and our best-selling crema al pistacchio.
